NEW YORK – Aug. 28, 2025 – The National Football League and Nike unveiled today the eight 2025 club uniforms part of Rivalries, a new uniform and fan gear program announced earlier this year. The uniforms will celebrate storied local traditions and unite fan communities with designs unique to select cities and teams.

“The unveiling of the first eight Rivalries club uniforms and fan gear marks a significant moment for the NFL, Nike and Fanatics, as creativity and innovation merge together to deliver a new take on what it means to be a rival,” said Taryn Hutt, vice president of club marketing at the NFL. “Rivalries will bring fresh energy to the field with each new uniform, while providing a platform to amplify the community and hometown pride that is rooted in each NFL fan.”

The first cohort of NFL Rivalries clubs, from the AFC East and NFC West, will debut their new Rivalries uniforms designed by Nike during a single upcoming home game against a division rival. The designs are rooted extensively in the legacies and inspirations true to each team, serving as an authentic, competitive expression of community pride while allowing athletes and fans to connect like never before.

“Nike has a rich history with football, and we’re excited to partner with the NFL on this new Rivalries program to help grow the sport and expand it for the next generation,” said Ryan Airhart, director of NFL apparel product design at Nike. “Each uniform was designed in collaboration with the club it represents to authentically reflect what makes their team, fans and communities wholly unique.”

Below is the 2025 Rivalries game schedule. Each of the designated clubs will elevate these gamedays and matchups across their communities and in-stadium in unique ways.

  • Arizona Cardinals: Sept. 25 vs. Seattle Seahawks
  • Miami Dolphins: Sept. 29 vs. New York Jets
  • Buffalo Bills: Oct. 5 vs. New England Patriots
  • New England Patriots: Nov. 13 vs. New York Jets
  • Los Angeles Rams: Nov. 16 vs. Seattle Seahawks
  • New York Jets: Dec. 7 vs. Miami Dolphins
  • Seattle Seahawks: Dec. 18 vs. Los Angeles Rams
  • San Francisco 49ers: Jan. 4, 2026, vs. Seattle Seahawks

After their on-field debut, the Rivalries uniforms will be included in their team’s uniform lineup for three years, in addition to existing alternate uniforms. Additional Rivalries uniforms will debut during the 2026, 2027 and 2028 seasons.

Rivalries have the power to connect and transform athletes, fans, teams and entire communities. Fans will be able to show their support by purchasing Rivalries jerseys, sideline apparel and headwear, along with fan gear, including T-shirts, hoodies and jackets. Riddell will also offer all eight Rivalries helmets in multiple sizes as collectibles for fans.

Rivalries jerseys, apparel, headwear and helmets will be available beginning Sept. 10at Nike.com, NFLshop.com, Fanatics.com, Riddell.com, Neweracap.com,individual team stores and additional retail locations. They will also be available across Canada, Mexico, Europe and Australia on NFL Shop sites and select international retailers.

Fans can also look out for limited-edition items created in collaboration with clubs and local brands dropping near each Rivalries game. Follow social handles, @NFL, and @usnikefootball, for more information on these exclusive drops.

In addition, EA will support Nike and the NFL by integrating Rivalries-themed updates into Madden 26 throughout the year. The updates will include enhanced in-game experiences with Nike Rivalries jerseys, unique Rivalries-themed stadium updates and content updates throughout varying game modes.

Star’s injury derails Super Bowl hopes, a QB’s career renewed and time to panic in Kansas City? NFL Week 2 takeaways

The first week of the NFL season can often be misleading. However, the following games can begin to reveal enlightening – or uncomfortable – truths.

In Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season, a little light was shone on how the fortunes of teams may go this year, including who is well-set and who is still missing pieces to succeed.

Here are the main takeaways from Week 2 of the NFL season.

Ranking NFL's 2-0 teams from most to least legitimate: Who still has something to prove?

A 2-0 start is almost always cause for celebration for any NFL team that manages to pull off the feat. But it doesn't always indicate a team has reached the fast lane to the postseason.

The odds are certainly in the favor of those that remain perfect through the first fortnight of the regular season. Of the 42 teams that have gone 2-0 since 2020, when the league expanded the regular season to 17 games and its postseason field to 14 teams, 33 (or 78.6%) made it to the playoffs. Last year alone, seven of the nine teams that began on that pace ended up sealing a spot, with another – the Seattle Seahawks – missing out via a tiebreaker.

Ranking NFL's 2-0 teams from most to least legitimate: Who still has something to prove?

Several teams with lofty expectations to start the season, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears, Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins, already face an uphill climb to reach the playoffs.

Since 1990, only 12.2% of the teams that started 0-2 have reached the postseason. Still, no one around the league is counting out Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs after losing the Super Bowl LIX rematch to the Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas City will try to get a win on the road against the New York Giants in Week 3.

Collette V. Smith: From NFL Trailblazer to Inspiring Author

Collette V. Smith: From NFL Sidelines to Children’s Bookshelves

When Collette V. Smith stepped onto the New York Jets’ practice field in 2017, she wasn’t just coaching defensive backs—she was rewriting the rulebook. Smith became the first Black woman to coach in the National Football League and the first female coach in Jets franchise history. That historic moment was more than a footnote; it was a headline, a breakthrough, and a signal to young girls everywhere that the impossible could, in fact, be possible.

Now, Smith is building on that legacy with her debut children’s book, Collette’s Courage, a story rooted in her own journey and aimed squarely at the next generation of dreamers and doers.

Breaking Barriers on the Gridiron

Smith’s love of football started on neighborhood sandlots, where she matched her skills against boys who quickly learned not to underestimate her. That early fire carried her into the New York Sharks, a professional women’s football team, where she excelled as a defensive back before moving into coaching and front-office roles.

Her opportunity with the Jets came when then–head coach Todd Bowles invited her to serve as a coaching intern during training camp. Smith brought with her an arsenal of knowledge—film study, footwork drills, and the relentless detail work that defines great defensive back play. More importantly, she brought representation.

In a league that had only begun to open its doors to women in coaching roles, Smith’s presence stood as a living rebuttal to stereotypes. She wasn’t just a woman on the sideline—she was a coach, holding a whistle, correcting technique, and demanding excellence.

“It was never about being the first,” Smith has said. “It was about doing the work and showing others that they belong too.”

The Next Chapter:

Collette’s Courage

Eight years later, Smith’s platform has evolved from NFL sidelines to school libraries. Her new book, Collette’s Courage (September 2025), tells the story of a young girl named Collette who refuses to be defined by limitations. With the support of her loyal dog, Bucky, and an unshakable belief in herself, she dares to pursue her love of football despite voices telling her “girls don’t belong on the field.”

Written for children ages 5 to 12, the book is richly illustrated and accessible, but its message resonates universally: courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s the decision to move forward anyway.

“Kids need to see themselves in stories,” Smith explains. “I wanted to create a book that tells every young girl and boy: don’t let anyone box you in. Your dreams are valid, your voice matters, and courage will carry you where doubt says you can’t go.”

Beyond the Field, Into the Classroom

Smith’s company, Believe N You, Inc., uses the power of sport as a framework for empowerment and personal development. Through workshops, keynote addresses, and executive coaching, she equips leaders, students, and athletes with the tools to build confidence, resilience, and vision. Collette’s Courage extends that mission, offering educators and parents a powerful resource to spark conversations about leadership, self-belief, and inclusivity.

Her dedication also reflects her lifelong bonds of sisterhood. Smith is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a global organization of trailblazing women committed to service, social justice, and empowerment. For Smith, being part of this sisterhood aligns seamlessly with her mission: to uplift, to break barriers, and to open doors for others.

Legacy in Motion

Collette V. Smith’s story is no longer confined to NFL history books. It’s being read aloud in classrooms, tucked into bedtime routines, and carried in the hands of children who may be picking up a football—or a dream—for the very first time.

Her career proves that breaking barriers is about more than the headlines—it’s about widening the path for those who follow. And with Collette’s Courage, she’s ensuring that path starts earlier than ever, in the hearts and imaginations of children who dare to believe in themselves.

“Courage isn’t about being fearless,” Smith writes in her book. “It’s about doing it anyway.”

That’s a lesson every generation can carry—on the field, in the classroom, and throughout life.
